I specialise in graphite pencil.  To see recent images of my work please browse through the galleries.  My drawings mainly consist of a head study, if you would like a collar drawn too this is no problem.

The size of the artwork mainly depends of the quality of the photos provided and the amount of studies on each piece.  Most as a rule tend to be mounted to around 11x14 which includes a couple of inches mount border in black, but images may come smaller if the photo is lacking clarity.

Photos

Please send good quality photos.  Pictures taken outdoors generally tend to be better as the sunlight will pick up all the flecks in the coat and eyes.  Always take the photo from the same level as your companion, if you are standing up then the angle will not be as good.  If you are unsure if a photo is suitable follow these guidelines:

• Is the photo too dark.  Can you see the outline clearly or is it merging with other parts of the body or background?
• Can you see the eyes clearly.  Are the shadows and flecks of the eyes visible?
• Is the angle a good one or would another be more suitable?
• Is the companion taking up most of the photo or just a speck on the horizon?

Follow these tips and decide if you need to take a few more shots first.  I may not be able to accept all photos is they are of poor quality.

Detailed backgrounds are not generally part of my work as I find it takes the focal point away from the study.

If you would like something extra added just ask.  The hallmark of my work is to produce a portrait where the subject is the focal point.

Satisfaction is guaranteed.  If you don't like it you don't need to keep it.

All artwork is supplied mounted, unframed and comes with the name of the companion and my signature

The price per nose is £48.  There are no hidden or extra charges.  If you have more than two companions please drop me a line and I will arrange a discount.

I can also draw your hamster, gerbil, rabbit amongst others if you provide me with a good photo.  The cost for these are only £30.  Horse head studies are £48.

Now available - cameos.  These come as smaller drawings at a price of just £25.  The approx size of these images look like Buster at the top of the page.  They come ready mounted for you pop into a small frame, usually a 6x8" frame.  Remember to specify if you want a cameo when ordering.
